Gender research is a rich, complex and vibrant area of research. Its theory predecessor is feminist literary theory, with a focus on the theme of “literature and women”. This thesis tries to trace back and compare the typical ways of thinking and argumentation discussed, expanded or replaced in the research history of gender issues from the point of view of the history of the problems and examine how the intercultural gender studies are formed and developed. Gender studies focus on generating and sustaining symbolic practices of gender authority while deviating from satirical imitation practices and covering the possibility of subverting the order of power. As a result, the culture turns into a stage for demonstrating gender identity and differences. Gender studies also highlight their vitality in the process of crossing the boundaries of traditional disciplines.
