自1985年江苏省放开水产品价格、实行市场调节以来,全省水产生产进入了一个持续快速发展的新时期。1985年到1994年,全省水产品总量年递增率为10.8％,1994年达到180.54万吨。1995年预计可达到205万吨,人均占有量近30公斤,为1985年的3倍。随着水产生产的快速发展,江苏省水产品流通十分活跃。纵观当前水产品市场形势,有以下五个特点。
