NEW YORK, USA - Doctors at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine say injecting gamma globulin can delay the progression of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) in some of their children. A 3-year-old child underwent this treatment, which is thought to boost the immune response. It is said that children are resistant to conditions characterized by AIDS infection of opportunistic pathogens for 18 months.
