2011 Serpentine Gallery by the world-renowned Swiss architect Peter Zumto design. This year’s gallery is the eleventh in the gallery and the first and most ambitious of its kind in the world. It is also the first project the architects built in the UK and the garden section of PietOudolf, the Netherlands’ most influential designer, has designed it. The center of the building is a garden, and architects want to inspire visitors to become observers. Somtom said his project “aims to give users time to relax, observe, and then start communicating - or not.” Design encourages feeling and emotion to play a role in the building experience. The careful selection of materials by Zumto creates a space of contemplation that awakens the physical environment of the thinking dimension. As usual, Damn
