1986年本刊第5期发表我撰写的“葱头良种繁殖技术”一文后,收到全国各地大量读者来信,询问圆葱的栽培技术。现介绍我场大面积丰产栽培经验总结如下:目前我国栽培的圆葱有红皮圆葱和黄皮圆葱。红皮圆葱质地脆嫩多汁,辣味浓,鳞茎大,产量较高,一般亩产4000公斤左右,为中熟或晚熟品种,是我国栽培较普遍的品种,但由于含水分较高,耐贮性较差;
