Objective : To detect and analyze the expression of nm23, p16 gene in gastric cancer tissues, and follow-up more than 5 years to explore its relationship with postoperative recurrence, metastasis and survival of gastric cancer. METHODS: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of nm23, P16 protein in gastric cancer tissues and followed up for more than 5 years. Results: The positive rate of nm23 in 46 specimens of gastric cancer was 46.43%, and the positive rate of p16 was 44.5%. The positive rate in gastric cancer tissues and metastatic lymph nodes was significantly lower than that in normal tissues and benign gastric polyps. The expression of these two genes was also significant. It is related to tumor invasion depth and clinical stage. During follow-up, negative expression showed high mortality, high metastatic recurrence rate, and a short median survival (P < 0.01). Conclusion : The abnormal expression of nm23 and p16 proteins plays an important role in the development of gastric cancer. It may be one of the markers for clinical evaluation of tumor biological behavior and prognosis.
