Objective To investigate the distribution of blood vessels and nerves in human esophageal wall and the relationship between the two. Methods Fourteen young cadavers and four adult specimens were included in this study. A total of 18 cases were included. The vessels and nerves in the human esophagus were visualized by a combination of silica gel perfusion and modified Sihler nerve staining. Results The distribution of blood vessels in the human esophageal wall was densely distributed in the lower thoracic and abdominal segments, while the cervical and upper thoracic segments were relatively sparse. The blood vessels in the entire anterior wall were sparsely posterior and the small branches in the blood vessels in the wall formed a broad network Anastomosis. The distribution of nerves in the human esophageal wall was the most sparse in the abdominal segment and the most dense in the thoracic segment. However, the nerves in the cervical and thoracic segments were evenly distributed, and the upper cervical segments could form anastomosis with the nerve branches from the pharyngeal plexus. Nerve tube wall formation mesh loop anastomosis. Esophageal wall blood vessels and nerves no significant correlation between. Conclusion The distribution of blood vessels and nerves in human esophageal wall showed reticular anastomosis, but there was no significant correlation between the two.
