20世纪30年代熊佛西等改良主义戏剧家在河北定县展开以农民为对象的文艺大众化研究和实验。他们将源自西方且被视为只能登大雅之堂的话剧改造为农民艺术,创作唤起农民“向上的意识”并符合农民审美趣味的话剧,革新乡村戏剧舞台和表演技艺,探索一整套农民戏剧的新模式,在促进乡村建设方面作出突出贡献,显示出与“左联”及其他文艺大众化活动有别的新途径。其有益探索和成功实践,对培育当今健康而繁盛的乡村舞台及农村文化建设,提供某些值得参考和借鉴的经验。
In the 1930s, reformist dramatists such as Xiong Fosi started the literary and art popularization research and experiment targeting peasants in Dingxian, Hebei Province. They transformed the drama that originated in the West and was deemed to be the only one that could make a living into a farmer’s art and created a drama that aroused peasants’ “consciousness of upward” and was in line with peasant aesthetic taste. It also renovated the rural drama stage and performing arts and explored a set of The new model of peasant drama has made outstanding contributions in promoting rural construction and has shown a new way of distinguishing it from the Left Federation and other literary popularization activities. Its beneficial exploration and successful practice provide some reference and reference experience for nurturing healthy and prosperous rural stage and rural cultural construction.
