Todd及其同事们1978年首次阐明,中毒性休克综合征是一种新的疾病,具有明确的流行病学和临床诊断标准。在阐述中,7例儿童有葡萄球菌感染。其中2例有局灶性葡萄球菌性脓肿和累及多器官系统的暴发性病变引起的局部感染,目前此病变主要在使用阴道棉塞的月经期青年妇女发生。此病在其他与棉塞使用无关者的发病率尚未明了. 中毒性休克综合征的临床特征和确定标准如下:(1)发热(体温38.9℃(102°F));
Todd and colleagues first demonstrated in 1978 that toxic shock syndrome is a new disease with well-defined epidemiological and clinical diagnostic criteria. In the presentation, seven children had a staphylococcal infection. Two of the patients had focal staphylococcal abscesses and localized infections involving fulminant organ-system-related fulminant lesions, which are present mainly in young women at menstruation using vaginal tampons. The incidence of this disease in other unrelated tampons is not yet known.Clinical features and criteria for toxic shock syndrome are as follows: (1) fever (body temperature 38.9 ° C (102 ° F));
