我们社区位于美国阿巴拉契山脉的一个小镇上。10月上旬开始,满山的枫树、橡树、桦树、杨树的叶子由绿转黄变红,加上还没有变色的树叶,浅绿、深绿在阳光的照耀下五彩斑斓,美不胜收。这时住在山外的人们成群结伙地开车往山里跑,欣赏这大自然神奇画笔一年一度的杰作。 就在这树叶变颜色的时候,树丛中草地上时常可见一种黄黑相间胖胖的毛毛虫,5～7厘米长,加上毛,有成人的手指那么粗。这毛毛虫两头金黄色,中间一圈黑,胖头胖脑,绝对不蜇人不咬人,把它放在手上有一种毛绒绒挺可爱的感觉。好像喜欢虫子的人还真是不多,尤其没有人愿意碰浑身长毛的虫子,小时候上树被长着绿色短毛的“洋拉子”狠狠蜇了一下几乎掉下树来的记忆对我来说可是一点都不美好,可这毛毛虫却是一例外。
