Two new and convenient methods using triphenyl phosphite or sodium dithionite todeoxygenate triphenylarsine oxide to triphenylarsine are described.~(31)P NMR spectra was used tostudy the reactivity of triphenylphosphite and triphenylphosphine in deoxygenating triphenylarsineoxide,pyridine-N-oxide and dimethyl sulroxide and the influence of complex MoO_2[S_2CN(C_2H_5)_2]_2on the reactivity.The mechanisms of above reactions are briefly discussed.
