This article focuses on the effects of movie footage on the screen when the input and output are scanned in a 10-bit log and a 16-bit linear code during digital production. The 10-bit logarithmic coding method has just been put into commercial use in China, and the 16-bit linearity has not yet been formally put into commercial use. It is of practical and practical significance to study the influence of these two coding modes on the tone. Based on the experimental research, this paper makes a subjective and objective comparison of the photosensitive characteristic curve, the typical picture effect and the printing light number. Experimental studies show that the input of the scan is coded and output in a 10-bit logarithmic mode, which can be maximally consistent with the original tone relationship. However, there is still potential for encoding in a 16-bit linear manner.
