在这一部分內容以前的教材里,包括了下面几部分主要內容:1.有理数;2.有理式的恆等变形;3.一次方程,为了进一步学习二次或者更高次的方程,就必然涉及到开方問題和根式問题;同时,也必須涉及到实数問題。所以这部分教材、主要介紹了方根;把数的概念由有理数扩张到了实数;研究了根式的变形,从而完成了代数式的恆等变形。这一部分教材包括有:乘方、方根、实数和根式等四个单元。下面分四部分来談。
