为了预先探明采煤工作面内的地质小构造以保证综采机械化工作面正常开采,煤炭科学研究院重庆研究所于1976年、1978年先后研制出WKT—J_1型和WKT-J_2型无线电波坑道透视仪(简称坑透仪),用于探测采煤工作面内陷落柱和小断层.通过多年推广应用,说明坑透仪在预测工作面内地质小构造方面是一种行之有效,经济效益高的矿井物探手段.但是,这两种型号坑透仪均为非防爆型,加之它们只有一个工作频率,不能满足不同探测距离的需要,严重地影响其推广应用.
