组织切片刀是制作组织切片的必备工具。我们须经常砥磨才能使其保持锋利,才能保证切片工作顺利进行。现今已基本由磨刀机代替手工磨刀。但不论是机磨还是手磨刀应磨到什么程度为最佳,如何去掌握刀的砥磨程度,有人曾提出用显微镜观察刀刃。锋利的刀刃镜下为一细密锯齿状纹线。这一判断方法操作较繁琐不适合于日常工作需要。
