With attractive prices, improving infrastructure and rich tourism resources, China’s secondand third-tier cities have become the target of many hotels in business expansion.
Argyle Hotel Management Group(Australia) has taken a lead in this trend. It has promoted its five major international hotel brands in Chongqing, Shiyan of Hubei Province, Changsha of Hunan Province, Wenzhou of Zhejiang Province and Ordos of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Argyle now operates 26 hotels with 6,630 rooms in China. Its hotel assets have reached 9 billion yuan ($1.4 billion).
In the future, the number of hotels in second- and third-tier cities will definitely exceed that in first-tier cities such as Beijing and Shanghai. International hotel brands are bound to embrace a quick expansion in these cities.
Argyle is now experiencing such an expansion. Ausotel, Argyle’s boutique business hotel brand, has gained a leading position among business hotels in Chinese cities, with its devotion to creating “a green, hi-tech, modern and healthy living environment for business travelers” and“3B services” of bed, breakfast and business.
The clear market orientation paves the way for rapid growth. Argyle will surely embrace a broad prospect in China.
