本文介绍的土压力盒既能测土中应力(埋入式),也可测接触应力(边界式);并且除测静载外,还可测动载;同时还可装配成水压计,测量土中的孔隙水压力。由于采用了双膜结构,标定时与受力状态(包括偏心荷载、集中荷载作用)、标定介质的物理性质(如粒径大小、级配、密实度和含水量)等很多外界因素无关,克服了目前常用的单膜结构的土压力盒的弊病,从而使标定方法大为简化,且其适用范围可扩大到粗粒散体介质中。特别采用双膜结构也有助于把土压力量测课题的研究从定性阶段进一步过渡到定量阶段,其次是由于二次膜直径远比一次膜的直径小,故增大了二次膜的挠度,使压力盒的灵敏度和精确度也得到了提高。
