Recently, I was fortunate enough to read Comrade Yan Kang-nian’s book Newton’s Scientific Discovery and Scientific Thought. While benefiting from this book, I was deeply impressed by the author of the book in discussing Newton’s scientific discoveries and Instead of making simple inferences based on second-hand materials, scientific thought quoted a large number of manuscripts that Newton had penned and kept so far as evidence. Many of the ideas and arguments in the book were summarized and summarized by the author on the basis of studying Newton’s manuscripts from. Therefore, the book’s view is more objective and fair. Nowadays this book has become one of the classic literatures about Newtonian research in China. It can be said that the book, its authors and readers all benefit from the manuscripts recorded by Newton that year. Write here I could not help but think of a report, in September 1987, according to Iowa State University Library Director Warren B. Kuhn in Hebei Agricultural University Library for an academic report, said: at the University An increasingly important department in the library is the Department of Collectors, a collection of scholarly manuscripts and books of rare origin, which is a center of academic research in many disciplines
