This article summarizes our hospital from April 1985 to April 1988 period of transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) 300 cases, are elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia, aged 50 to 81 years, mean 68.5 years. 108 patients (60%) accompanied by respiratory, circulatory or chronic diseases of the endocrine system. Surgical use of continuous epidural anesthesia in 289 cases,
