Objective To evaluate efficacy of intermitten t urethral catheterization in the tr eatment of intractable diabetic neu rogenic blad-der.Method41patients with intractable diabetetic neurogenic bladder were random ly divided into study group(n =21)and control group(n =20).Study group received intermittent urethral catheterization and contr ol group received routine therapy.T herapeutic effect of two groups was compared.Result Total effective rate was 90.5%and 40.0%for study group and control group respectively(P <0.01).In study group, area opaca of residual urine s hown by ultrasound examination and n umber of urination decreased, urine volume increased(P <0.05)which were both better than those of c ontrol group after treatment. Conclusion Intermittent urethral catheteriza tion can effectively manage in-tractable diabetic neurogenic bladder, improve urinary incontinence, urinary retention, resume reflecti on bladder.
Objective To evaluate efficacy of intermittent t urethral catheterization in the tr eatment of intractable diabetic neu rogenic blad-der. Method 41 patients with intractable diabetetic neurogenic bladder were random ly divided into study group (n = 21) and control group (n = 20) group received intermittent urethral catheterization and contr ol group received routine therapy. Therapeutic effect of two groups was compared. Result Total effective rate was 90.5% and 40.0% for study group and control group respectively (P <0.01) .In study group, area opaca of residual urine sown by ultrasound examination and nmber of urination decreased, urine volume increased (P <0.05) which were both better than those of c control group after treatment. Confound Intermittent urethral catheterization can effectively manage in-tractable diabetic neurogenic bladder, improve urinary incontinence, urinary retention, resume reflecti on bladder.
