Prior to this century, China’s aviation industry has been dominated by state-owned enterprises in the world. After 2000, some private enterprises started to gradually enter the general aviation manufacturing industry to produce helicopters or unmanned aerial vehicles or to provide support to major manufacturers of general aviation at home and abroad. In 2008, the establishment of China Commercial Aircraft Corporation, as the major project of large passenger aircraft in China, created an opportunity for private enterprises to enter the industrial chain of large aircraft manufacturing.
