Editor’s note: March 28, 2006 is the 11th national primary and secondary school safety education day. Looking back on the safety of primary and secondary school students over the past 11 years, the result is not encouraging. Surveys show that safety accidents are the number one killer of children and adolescents under the age of 14: about 16,000 primary and secondary students die abnormally each year in the country, and on average about 44 students die of traffic accidents and accidental disasters every day, equivalent to a teaching class Accident “disappeared.” Approximately 80% of these non-fatal accidents can be avoided through prevention and emergency response. In particular, we compiled several real stories that happened to primary school students. Their witty escape experience tells us how important it is to master a certain amount of safety knowledge.
