Objective To investigate the association of erythrocyte count (RBC) with metabolic syndrome (Met S) and its components. Methods The physical examination population of three hospitals in Beijing was selected as the research object in 2012, Spearman correlation analysis was used to study the correlation between RBC and Met S-related components, and multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the association between RBC and Met S Variety. Results A total of 3,773 people were included in this study. RBC was negatively correlated with high density lipoprotein cholesterol (P <0.05), and positively correlated with other components of Met S in Spearman two-variable correlation analysis and partial correlation analysis after control of age and other Met S components (P <0.05). Multivariate logistic regression showed that RBC level was positively correlated with the increased risk of Met S. Conclusion The higher the RBC, the higher the risk of detecting Met S. There is a certain correlation between RBC and Met S and its components, which can be used as a key indicator of Met S.
