陈刘洁贞是香港大学历史教授 ,对中英关系和香港问题著述丰富。2000年冬广东省委党史研究室研究员袁小伦通过已故香港知名文化人陈君葆的女婿谢荣滚得到陈刘洁贞惠赠其英文专著《从无到有 ,从有到无———中国共产主义运动与香港·1921—1936》。为进一步征集粤港两地中共党史资料 ,促进学术交流 ,扩大内地党史工作者的视野 ,经袁小伦推荐 ,并征得作者同意 ,本刊择要登载该书译作的部分内容。译者吴慧坚是广东教育学院外语系专业英语教研室主任。
Chen Liu Jie is a professor of history at Hong Kong University and is well-versed in the Sino-British relations and Hong Kong issues. In the winter of 2000, Yuan Xiaolun, a researcher of the Party History Research Department of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, passed the Xie Xierong, the son-in-law of the deceased Hong Kong well-known cultural person Chen Junbao, and gave her an English monograph entitled “From nothing to nothing to --- Chinese Communist Movement and Hong Kong 1921-1936. ” In order to further collect information on the history of the Communist Party of China in Guangdong and Hong Kong, promote academic exchanges and broaden the horizons of the party historians in the Mainland, recommended by Yuan Xiaolun and with the consent of the author, we should publish part of the translation of the book.
