在当代艺术的疆域内,我们又重新发现了很多基于手工性的艺术作品。徐冰在《天书》中不厌其烦地雕刻成千上万的“活字”;朱小禾将自己的创作称之为“劳动”:张羽不断地将手指印在画面上,极力消除作品的视觉形式因素……在这些艺术实践中,手工劳作自身重新成为定义作品意义的核心要素。甚至,在很多作品中,一旦忽视其中的手工性要素,作品的价值就会完全消失。
Within the boundaries of contemporary art, we have rediscovered many works of art based on handcraft.
