This article explores the history of the development of many languages in the world in the recent century and its current situation. In particular, since the era of human information and Internet access, the impact of large languages such as English has led to the gradual endangerment of large numbers of small languages The unfavorable conditions of language, and the eventual demise of these languages, will lead to the demise of their culture as their carrier. The article put forward a question worth pondering: the destruction of human ecological environment led to the death of some endangered species, for which human beings have called for the protection of biodiversity. This is of course beyond reproach, but why many people turn a blind eye to the demise of a large number of endangered languages? The article argues that the loss of cultural and ecological environment as a result of the loss of linguistic and cultural diversity is as daunting as the loss of biodiversity to the ecological environment . To that end, those endangered languages should be protected as rare biological species like vultures, giant pandas, and dolphins
