RNP精密导航技术,是利用飞机自身机载导航设备和全球定位系统引导飞机起降的新技术,是目前航空发达国家竞相研究的新课题和国际民航界公认的未来导航技术发展的趋势。与传统导航技术相比,飞行员不必依赖地面导航设施即能沿着精准定位的航迹飞行,使飞机在各种不利条件下安全、精确地着陆,极大提高了飞行的精确度和安全水平。运用RNP导航技术对于地形复杂、气候多变的西部高原机场具有十分重要的推广意义,能够降低机场起飞天气标准和最低下降高度限制,大幅减少天气原因造成的航班延误、返航现象,增强高原机场的安全运行水平。
