Sanya Harbor is located in Sanya City, Hainan Province, China is the southernmost coastal port. By the end of 1995, Sanya Harbor had a water area of 149 square kilometers and a land area of 230,000 square meters, of which, the harbor area was 138,000 square meters. There are 7 berths, 714 meters of berth shoreline, the maximum berthing capacity of 7,000 tons; Treasury area of 55,000 square meters; 50 loading and unloading machinery. In 1995, Sanya Harbor completed 420,000 tons of cargo throughput, a decrease of 46.8% over the previous year, of which foreign trade amounted to 94,000 tons. The major cargo types are coal, salt, grain, fertilizer and cement.
