古巴现有铁路1.5万km,其中5500km为干线,9500km为制糖工业专用线。干线轨距为1435mm,主要干线铺设50kg/m钢轨,其他线路铺设43kg/m钢轨。从1964年开始铺设混凝土轨枕。古巴铁路基本上是单线,采用内燃牵引。电气化铁路只有古巴一马坦萨斯一段,总长150km。线路的限制坡度有多处高达30‰,最小曲线半径为120m。铁路密度每1000m~2为47km。这一指标相当高,超过了美国铁路。按“万名居民占有铁路长度”指标(5km),古巴铁路超过了美国、
Cuba has 15,000 km of existing railways, of which 5500 km are trunk lines and 9500 km are sugar industry-only lines. The main gauge is 1435mm, the main trunk is 50kg / m, the other is 43kg / m. Concrete sleepers have been laid since 1964. Cuban railway is basically a single line, the use of internal combustion traction. The electrified railway is only a section of Cuba’s Matanzas with a total length of 150km. The limit of the line is as high as 30 ‰ and the minimum curve radius is 120m.
