This article expounds the artistic style of the description of painting in Gogol’s literature. The author studied Baroque painting in detail and studied various forms of painting description in the second edition of Dalgo Burba, a novel by Gogol. It analyzes the techniques of depicting the various styles of the Italian Baroque masters Herad Van Hunterhorst and Antonius van Bendijk. According to the author’s thoughts, Baroque paintings depict the social and cultural life of Poland, Andrea’s clues to the plot and the betrayal. This Baroque character led to Gogol’s denial of self-belief. In the second edition of the novel, the lines reveal the Baroque influence on Gogol in the early 1830s and the self-conflict in the heart of Gogol with religious sentiment in the 1840s.
