Ⅰ Research on the Excitation System of Traction Motor Under the condition of maintaining the weight of the existing locomotive, increasing the single power of the electric drive diesel locomotive raises the problem of reliable adhesion between the wheel and the rail. Research on this issue shows that the mechanical properties of a traction motor (TД) are of great importance for improving the utilization of the adhesion weight of a diesel locomotive.
