In 1907, “Mother’s Day” first celebration ceremony was done in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania specifically for mothers who did a week. Created by Anna Jarvis of Pennsylvania, it quickly spread. In 1914 President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation ordering the promotion of the American flag on public buildings on Mother’s Day.
