The United States celebrates “Mother’s Day” every second Sunday in May. On this day, those who have passed away from their mother often wear white carnation flowers, while those who are still alive wear pink carnation flowers. In 1907, “Mother’s Day” first celebration ceremony was done in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania specifically for mothers who did a week. Created by Anna Jarvis of Pennsylvania, it quickly spread. In 1914 President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation ordering the promotion of the American flag on public buildings on Mother’s Day.
