根癌病和枯萎病是园林果树和蔬菜瓜类等园艺作物由土壤致病菌所致的二大根部病害.由于病原菌潜藏土中并可经耕作、灌溉、移栽、施肥和种苗等许多途径传播,采用一般杀菌剂防治难以奏效.因此本市的“两绿工程”每年因这两种病的为害而遭受重大损失;一些产区的生产发展还因而受到严重的制约.市农科院园艺研究所在“七五”和“八五”期间通过生物技术,已成功地进行了“复方根癌宁”的研制,包括发酵技术、复种制剂和剂型的研制及示范推广等.利用二种微生物有效物质的复合,使之可同时用于根癌病和枯萎病二种重要根部病害的防治.该制剂防治方法简便,可以浸种、沾根、泼浇等,效果稳定,对人畜和环境安全无毒害,日前已通过了专家验收
