The environmental impact of kinetic energy production has become an issue of controversy in the United States over the past decade. In order to increase industrial production and satisfy civilian and commercial needs, more energy must be input. As domestic oil and gas are increasingly unable to meet their needs, to avoid over-reliance on imported fossil fuels, the power community has turned to the only viable option for nuclear power. However, the faction opposed to the nuclear power plant development plan opposed this on the ground of environmental protection. This article examines the development of nuclear power in the United States, including the analysis of the importance and progress of nuclear power in major regions and attempts to give a brief overview of the main arguments against this energy.
