A one-dimensional coordination polymer [Cu(2-pac)2·2H2O]n (1) (2-pac=2-pyrazinecarboxylic acid) has been synthesized and structurally characterized by single crystal structure determination method. Crystal data: triclinic, space group P1, a=0.517 3(5) nm, b=0.769 9(1) nm, c=0.929 4(1) nm, α=74.832(1)°, β=84.234(2)°, γ=71.288(1)°, V=0.338 3(3) nm3, Z=1, S=1.037, Final R indices (I>2σ(I)) R1=0.072 1, wR2=0.167 8, for all reflections R1=0.093 0, wR2=0.187 2. In addition, elemental analysis, IR and thermalgravimetric analysis are presented. CCDC: 690006.
