《新青年》与章士钊主编的《甲寅》月刊虽有深厚渊源,却是和而不同,前者从创刊伊始就将读者群定位为知识青年,文章导向、栏目设置乃至刊物定价皆以服务青年为出发点。同时,较之《甲寅》,《新青年》减少了政论的比重,转而寻求从思想文化角度发表议论、影响社会。《甲寅》的边缘作者胡适在《新青年》一跃成为主角,则推动《新青年》逐渐摆脱了《甲寅》的论政风格,打出“文学革命”的崭新旗号,完成了从青年励志刊物向新文化舆论载体的转型。
Although there is deep origin in the monthly magazine “Jiayin” edited by “New Youth” and Zhang Shizhao, the former is different from the other.
