Emily Dickinson’s poetry is characterized by her unique insights and fresh perspectives on death. This thesis attempts to analyze the writing of Dickinson ’s poem “Death Theme” and try to analyze the reasons for Dickinson’ s indulgence in the theme of death from the influence of Puritan families, the background of the time and personal life experiences. The author believes that Puritan complex concept of death, literary creation of the death of the poetic culture, the poet’s personal witness to death and isolated seclusion have prompted Emily to become addicted to the death of poetry writing.
