断层封闭大致有两种类型,一种是由于断层上下盘砂泥并置引起的封闭即岩性封闭型,另外一种是断裂(或泥岩涂抹)造成断层岩具有很高的孔渗压力而封闭,即断面封闭型。对于由并置作用引起的封闭,以Allan模式为基础,得到一系列断层剖面图进行并置封闭的定量评价。泥岩涂抹造成断层某些部分有较高的孔渗压力从而造成断层封闭,通过定义一些方便易得的参数,应用断面物质涂抹法得到该断层的泥岩涂抹系数、泥岩涂抹比率、及泥岩涂抹潜力等参数来评价断层的封闭性。最后,用实测地层压力对泥岩涂抹特性进行标定,确定大港千米桥地区大张坨的中下部都是封闭的。
