Due to the heterogeneity of antibody responses in TB patients, the use of single antigen for serodiagnosis has the disadvantage of low positive rate. In order to obtain an antigen suitable for clinical diagnosis of tuberculosis, 38 ku antigen of tuberculosis and urine protein 1 (U1) were fused, purified and their antigenic activities were determined. Mycobacterium tuberculosis encodes the gene for 38 ku antigen and U1 protein by gene splicing
