From the birth of a baby, new mothers are told by their elders at home that the baby’s fontanelle should be well protected and never touched! Mothers also become cautious in fear of bruising the baby’s brain. So, fontanelle in the end is how the same thing? Is it really so fragile? Here we come to a new mother on a fontanelle science class. What is the fontanel? Newborns born skull soft, sutureless, with the anterior fontanel and posterior fontanelle. Bregma is usually 2 to 4 square centimeters, located in the head; bregma can only accommodate the fingertips, located in the back of the baby. As the baby’s age increases, the fontanelle gradually narrows.
