安塞姆·基弗(1945～),德国著名画家,新表现主义艺术的代表人物之一。后移居法国。基弗被称为第三帝国①废墟上成长起来的画坛诗人。他一直专注于表现德国的历史,德国的文化命运及纳粹主义的遗产。他说:“我带着联系我们意识和经历的象征进行创作,这象征将同时引发我们对自身的不断的省思。”历史、神话、宗教、文学题材都是他的视觉对象,其中,大屠杀的记忆是反复表现的主题。作品富于历史感、悲剧感,带有沉思的性质。结构宏大,形式新异,令人震悚。
