用过硫酸铵氧化法测定锰,无论是黑色金属还是有色金属,都规定须加入硝酸银作催化剂,才能将锰氧化成高锰酸进行测定。在测定铝合金时,我们试验在1.5N左右酸度的硫、磷、硝混酸中,不加硝酸银催化,发现锰也能较完全地氧化成高锰酸,吸光值与加硝酸银者一致,从而可省略贵重试剂,降低分析费用。为什么在铝合金中测定锰,可以不加硝酸银呢?铝合金中的合金成份本身与硝酸银有同样作用。可以设想,一些其他金属材料测定锰时,也未必一定要加硝酸银。现将试验情况报导如下:
