探槽、坑道、钻孔等勘探工程的重要任务之一是采样.通过对所采样品的分析化验,确定样品的品位,借以圈定工程上的有矿、无矿,表内、表外矿地段.如何制订一个较优的采样到分析的方案,使既能确保数据满足圈定矿体的精度要求,同时又能减少分析样品数,达到少花钱,多办事的目的,则是勘探过程中必须考虑的问题.为减少分析样品的数量,很早以前就有人研究并进行过样品的合并工作,即将相邻的二个、三个以至四个样品合并为一个样品而不降低所代表地段的品位精度.而且这种合并可以分为样品加工前合并及加工后合并两大类、并且提出了一系列合并样品的条件及要求.然而,对于合并后进行化验所可能出现的不同情况及针对这些情况如何处理未有更多论述.本文提出的加倍法着重从这个角度加以探讨.
