资源经济学形成于本世纪20年代末30年代初,以1929年出版的伊利和莫尔豪斯的《土地经济学原理》为开端。我国从事资源经济学研究刚刚起步,尤其是资源经济学的理论还没有形成一个完整体系。这几年国内发表了不少论著和论文,如翻译出版了美国Alan Randall的《资源经济学:从经济角度对自然资源和环境政策的探讨》,农业部农业经济管理学院黄亦妙、樊永廉于1988年编著 Resource economics was formed in the late 1920s and early 1930s of this century, beginning with the “Principles of Land Economics” published by Ely and Morehouse in 1929.
