镍基高温合金IN-100和NASA-TRW-VIA的楔形棒试样成批地涂上Cr-Al金属涂层(MCrAl)、金属陶瓷涂层和改性铝化物涂层。采用等离子喷涂、料浆浸涂、物理气相沉积、粉末填装以及上述方法相结合的各种施涂方法。MCrAl涂层的成分是FeCrAlY,NiCrAl和CoCrAlY。其中,前二者采用等离了喷涂法,CoCrAlY则用物理气相沉积法。陶瓷涂层采用料浆浸涂和真空烧结法施涂。在某些情况下,施涂后的试样再用标准粉末法进行鋁化处理。改性鋁化物涂层是铂-鋁(Pt-A1),将铂电镀于基体上,然后用填装工艺鋁化之,铝化物涂层含有嵌镶的Al_2O_3粒子。全部试样在高速(1马赫)燃烧火焰下于1,093℃进行循环氧化试验。试验证明,VlA型合金上的Pt-Al涂层的抗氧化性能最佳,经750小时后方开始失重;其次好的是涂在VlA型合金上的CoCrAlY涂层,氧化保护寿命为450小时;再次的是涂在VlA合金上的铝化陶瓷涂层,保护寿命为385小时。除此之外的所有涂层的氧化保护期都较短。据观察,所有涂层对VIA型合金的保护效果一般都比较好,测定了这些性能较好的涂层的重量随时间变化的数据,其重量变化一时间曲线的形状为抛物线。
Wedge rod specimens of nickel base superalloy IN-100 and NASA-TRW-VIA were batch coated with a Cr-Al metal coating (MCrAl), a cermet coating and a modified aluminide coating. All samples were subjected to a cyclic oxidation test at 1,093 ° C under a high speed (1 Mach) combustion flame. The experiment proves that the Pt-Al coating on VlA alloy has the best oxidation resistance and begins to lose weight after 750 hours.
