去年,特别是在夏秋之间,在广东的粤剧舞台上,一度出现了部分调子沉靡,气味陈腐的坏剧目,这些剧目为一些落后的小市民观众所欢迎,因而受到了广大的观众和戏剧界的批评。但是也有部分戏曲工作者对这种情形不仅不加反对,反而大加赞赏,甚至提出“投其所好,力求健康,逐步提高”的说法,作为演出这些坏戏的理论根据,认为这才是粤剧为“广大观众”服务的最好道路。
Last year, especially during the summer and autumn, some badly toned and smelly bad shows appeared on the stage of Cantonese opera in Guangdong. The shows were welcomed by a few backward little civic audiences and were thus hit by a vast audience and theatrical community Criticism. However, some of the opera workers, instead of opposing them without any objection, have greatly appreciated and even put forward the idea of “putting their own merits and efforts to health and progressively improving” as the theoretical basis for performing these bad plays. This is considered to be the Cantonese opera for the “vast audience” the best way of serving.
