晚明士人群体的恋物、玩物行为是一种眩惑于生活之欲的物化审美,暗含着一种生活之欲不断强化自身的思想逻辑。物化审美风尚推动了生活化的博物学的兴起,并冲击了晚明社会的等级制度、文化格局。晚明士人挑战“玩物丧志”的物论话语建构起一种消解存在价值,以感性体验为目的、以表演为方法的整体性生活哲学,理性的缺失、厌世和颓废情绪的蔓延是其最为显著的文化症候。
