数字技术已经进入了电影制作和发行领域,对电影存档来说也变得越来越重要。存储图像、声音和元数据的数据格式是数字电影存档的关键所在,必须谨慎地选择这些格式,以保证未来的人们能够观看到今天的电影。本文描述了数字电影存档系统概念中所使用的格式和欧洲数字电影促进(EDCine)正在开发中的原型。第一部分描述了提议作为电影存档标准的格式、JPEG2000编码技术以及相关协议子集(profile)的一些重要特性。第二部分讲解了JPEG2000的实际应用,以及将图像数据编码成上述规格和还原成为分发格式的工作流程。
Digital technology has entered the field of film production and distribution, the movie archives has become increasingly important. The format for storing images, sounds and metadata is key to digital cinema archiving and these formats must be carefully chosen to ensure that future generations can watch today’s movies. This article describes the formats used in the concept of digital cinema archiving systems and the prototypes under development at European Digital Cinema Promotion (EDCine). The first part describes some important features of the proposed format as a movie archive, the JPEG2000 encoding technology, and the associated profile of the protocol. The second part explains the practical application of JPEG2000, as well as the workflow of encoding image data into the above specifications and restoring it to a distribution format.
