赵晓生教授的专著《时空重组:巴赫平均律键盘曲集新解》(上海音乐出版社,(上)2005年,(中)、(下)2008年),为多年来早已波澜不惊的巴赫研究领域竖起了一块厚重而又新奇的界石。这部总篇幅逾一百五十万字的巨著分为三卷,逐一对巴赫《十二平均律键盘曲集》中的48首前奏曲与赋格曲从细枝末节到结构整体作了极为精密详尽的分析。
