石油事业大家知道就是矿物油事业,这里边包括汽油,煤油,柴油,润滑油等等,它是化学工业中重要部份之一,在经济上起着重大作用的。一个国家如果没有石油产品,那末工厂里面的机器就不能很好的转动,交通工具也不能很好的开展。因此,石油事业可以说在一切工业中占着很重要的地位,对于人类日常生活和国防上,都有密切重要的关系。我国过去长期受帝国主义的侵略,对于国计民生有重大关系的石油也不是例外。我们所有的机器和交通工具差不多都是用英美油公司的油料的。譬如从英国进口的纺织机,他们就指定用亚细亚公司的J.1或J.D.2锭子油来润滑;从美国进口的透平机,他们就指定用美孚公司的DTE oil或德士古公司的Regal oil 来润滑。汽油,煤油,柴油也是如此。这样三外商油公司就长期侵占了我国的石油市场,操纵了石油的销路。因为有这些缘故,所以直到现在还有一部份人认为其一种机器非用其一种英美油不可,而存在着依赖英美油料的思想。英美帝国主义也利用这种思想,同时实行所谓对中国的石油禁运,梦想拿这种手段来扼死我们的工业建设和交通运输,但是事实证明了,我们的工业非但没有受到丝毫影响。反而欣欣向 As we all know, the petroleum industry is the mineral oil business.
